Luisa Acosta is a licensed speech-language pathologist and the founder of Bright Star Speech and Language Services. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Therapy and Audiology from the Rosario University in Bogota, Colombia and received a Master of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders from the California State University Fullerton. She also has a certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology, as well as a certification in Speech-Language Pathology by the state of California and rehabilitative credentials. She is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association ASHA and the California and Speech-Language-Hearing Association CSHA.
Luisa has a vast experience in diagnostics and intervention in the areas of language, speech, pragmatics and voice training for children and adults. She has experience in a variety of settings including schools, hospitals and private practices and continues her involvement in the development of different programs, including early intervention, language stimulation training for parents as well as adult voice education.
